Privacy policy

This website does not require you to create an account, and it does not ask for personal information in order to browse. We collect as little as possible, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.

If you use the contact form, it opens a message in your own email application. Nothing you type is stored on this website. Once you send that email, it becomes correspondence with the City and is handled like any other message we receive.

Be aware that under the Mississippi Public Records Act, correspondence sent to a public body may be a public record and subject to disclosure.

Some things you can do from this site are handled by other organizations under their own privacy policies:

• Utility bill payments are processed by Mississippi EZPay. Payment card details are entered on their system, not ours, and the City never sees your full card number.
• Maps on the contact page are embedded from Google Maps.
• The Code of Ordinances is hosted by Municode.
• Agendas and minutes are published through the city's agenda system.

When you follow one of those links you leave this site, and that organization's privacy policy applies.

This site does not set advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. If the City adds website analytics in the future, this policy will be updated to say what is collected and why.

This site is intended for the general public and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

This website is served over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information - such as account passwords, card numbers or a Social Security number - by email. Call City Hall instead.
