The Board meets twice a month. The rest of the year builds towards two weekends: the Jubilee in June and Christmas on Main in December.

Downtown Poplarville and the Town Green
Downtown turns out for the holidays - vendors on the Town Green, hot cocoa, pictures with Santa, shopping in the Main Street stores, and the annual Christmas parade rolling through town.

Poplarville's signature weekend and the reason the water tower says what it says. Friday night opens with storytelling and music - bring a chair and a blanket. Saturday fills downtown with craft and artist booths, a 5K and fun run, a pancake breakfast, a car show, a baby crawl, a puppy pageant and tours at the USDA horticultural lab. The Jubilee has been running for more than forty years and draws thousands into town.

Board meetings are open to the public. Citizens who wish to address the Board should contact the City Clerk in advance to be placed on the agenda. Special meetings are called as needed and posted with the regular agendas.
